Beamish is perhaps the best-known village in the North East of England, principally of course for its celebrated living museum that transports visitors back a century or so, which may inspire some thoughts about themes and style for your big day. The village itself has some decidedly pretty spots, reflected in the conservation status afforded one part, and fine houses great and small, so no lack of great backgrounds there for some romantic wedding photographs. And the same can be said of the surrounding countryside, and all this just a couple of miles off the A1(M).
