It doesn’t take much looking to find plenty of romance about the fine old spa town of Matlock. The very setting of course in the picturesquely wooded Derwent Valley is an excellent start, but consider too the elegance of the buildings that once made Matlock our foremost spa resort – and remember not everyone came just for the waters!
