Hamptworth, a privately owned 3,000 acre estate, sits on the Northern Edge of the New Forest National Park half way between Salisbury and Southampton. Home to the Anderson family for just under 200 years, Hamptworth is surrounded by parkland, farmland and mixed woodland and provides the ideal location for a country wedding. In the middle of the estate sits Hamptworth Lodge, a Jacobean style Manor House, truly impressive but yet very welcoming and comfortable. The Great Hall with its spectacular vaulted beamed ceiling houses a wonderful Willis organ, the twin of that in nearby Salisbury Cathedral. The Great Hall is able to accommodate 80 guests for a seated meal and smaller parties may appreciate the intimacy of the oak panelled dining room, seating 50. Three rooms within the Lodge are licensed for civil ceremonies.
