Starting with Dawn who guided us through the wedding preparations, she’s great and a asset to the hotel, she takes the stress out of everything for you. The meal was excellent, served piping hot by pleasant staff. Jill who greeted us and organised the speeches etc was wonderful, the evening buffet was presented beautifully and the DJ did a smashing job. WE WOULD RECOMMEND YOU TO ANYONE."

Best Western Stoke-on-Trent Moat House is a 147-bed hotel which opened at Etruria during September 1991 and is linked to Etruria Hall, the former home of Josiah Wedgwood, the Father of English Potters. The grounds of Etruria Hall make a spectacular and unique backdrop to your wedding photographs.

Etruria Hall is a Grade Two listed building and was built in 1769 for Wedgwood’s own occupation and during his lifetime was used frequently for entertaining celebrities from many spheres of life. Each room is flooded with daylight from tall sash windows, which are typical of the period.

Today Etruria Hall has been tastefully transformed to incorporate a Civil Ceremony Suite and two Banqueting suites on the ground floor with a Bar and Lounge Area which lead out onto landscaped gardens, ideal for photographs or a drinks reception. All rooms are fully air-conditioned.
