Nestled on the River Taw, halfway between Exeter and Barnstaple the hotel enjoys an exquisite setting amongst the rolling hills of the Tarka Trail. Furnished with a mixture of beautiful antiques and contemporary comfort the Fox & Hounds Hotel offers an idyllic setting for your special day. Our 16 bedrooms are all en- suite and the gorgeous bridal suite has a double bath big enough for two plus the champagne! We are licensed for civil weddings and partnerships in our charming function suite so you are able to enjoy the whole or just a part of your day with us.

We only undertake one wedding per day to ensure all the attention is focused on exceeding your expectations. Our chefs will prepare a delicious feast in our light and airy restaurant after some fizz and nibbles on the terrace overlooking the colourful gardens and famous lovers' bridge ­ a definite photo opportunity. Larger parties can hire a marquee for the lawn and we can welcome more of your guests for the evening reception in one of our tasteful function suites.
