Friars Carse is a unique hotel combining understated luxury with superb service and outstanding value.

This fine Scottish baronial hall has its origins back in the 13th Century and is most famous for its connections with the poet Robert Burns.

Set in a 45 acre estate including woodland stretching down to the River Nith and with the delightful ambience of the old Grade A listed house serving as a truly atmospheric backdrop, this is the ideal location for your special day.

The hotel can cater for intimate and larger wedding. The hotel building is licensed for Civil Marriage, Civil Partnership and Naming Ceremonies for up to 80 persons and our marquee, situated in the hotel grounds, can cater for celebrations for up to 150.

The hotel offers comfortable accommodation and an efficient yet relaxed service. A tempting choice of cuisine is served in the Whistle Restaurant each evening while the Lounge Bar offers a good range of hot and cold food at lunchtimes with light snacks, teas and coffees.
