"We would like to thank you for making our special event a reality. Goldsborough Hall was a perfect venue, your organisation and hospitality was excellent, it went without a hitch ....and we couldn't have had a happier day."

Princess Mary's first family home, Goldsborough Hall, near Knaresborough, is one of the latest stately homes in Yorkshire to be granted approval to hold Civil Marriages and Partnerships in four of its beautiful state rooms. These include an oak-panelled Jacobean Library and Robert Adam-designed Drawing and Dining rooms.

The privately owned home stands in 11 acres of landscaped gardens which are just perfect for those all important photographs! There are also unspoilt views over hundreds of acres of private parkland.

Steeped in history the Hall was originally built in 1625 for the High Sheriff of Yorkshire and in 1706 became the last resting place of the oldest founding father to all thoroughbred horses, the Byerley Turk. In housing a royal family, the Hall also has a private entrance to the neighboring church.

The Hall is available for you to hire on an exclusive basis throughout the year. We cater for ceremonies and receptions for up to 110 guests, but should you prefer something more intimate, we are happy to accommodate this also.

The owners are in the process of restoring the main house bedrooms, enabling guests to experience more of the building by staying overnight in one of the stunning bridal suites.
