Hambleton Hall in Rutland has been the fabulous setting for many weddings since it opened in 1979 when owners Tim and Stefa Hart converted this fine Victorian house into a hotel.
The house has a most spectacular setting in a glorious garden and overlooking a 5,000 acre lake, Rutland Water. A staff of 55 is dedicated to making your wedding day a joy and welcome and professionalism rather than formality seem to be their aim.
Aaron Patterson, the Head Chef, has been in charge of the kitchen for 10 years and your wedding breakfast will be nothing short of fabulous. His exuberant style, using a good deal of excellent home-grown and local produce has won wide recognition and the restaurant has been awarded a Michelin star.
All 17 bedrooms have been decorated by Stefa Hart and they are glamorous without being fussy and all are extremely comfortable.
The Croquet Pavilion, a fine two bed roomed suite with four poster bed, luxury marble bathroom, living room and breakfast room is only 40 metres from the main house. With its own terrace overlooking the lake it is the perfect retreat. Privacy is guaranteed and as such it is a firm favourite with honeymoon couples.
