The secluded gardens, magical tarn and Lake District scenery provide the perfect backdrop for romantic photographs. The hotel terrace, conservatory or lounge, are ideal settings for a relaxed drinks reception. We know the importance of making sure your wedding day is one of the most memorable days of your life (and memorable for the right reasons!).

Our experienced Wedding co-ordinator Kate Thomas will manage all your arrangements, from ceremony to reception, so that you can make the most of your precious day and relax.

We are licensed to hold civil ceremonies and civil partnerships in both the Billiard Room and our Boardroom and are able to accommodate both small intimate weddings of just the bride and groom and also larger weddings of up to 64 people maximum when taking exclusive use. To top things off, why not give your special day the feeling of a relaxed house party by booking the hotel exclusively. This allows more flexibility so that timings can be tailored to your personal arrangements and wishes.

The hotel's contemporary yet comfortable facilities include 30 individually decorated bedrooms including our recently completed Luxury Loft Suite. Claimed to be one of the nicest Suites in Cumbria it has a glass sliding roof in the lounge area, which together with the telescope, king size bed, Bose surround system, Italian double ended designer bath and TV in the lounge, bedroom and bathroom, will complete the perfect treat for you on your wedding celebrations. All 30 bedrooms are ensuite, some with Lake Views and King Size beds, Molton Brown products, Satellite TV, CD-Hifi, waffle bathrobes, hairdryers and wi-fi throughout.
