Lodge Park is a unique survival of a Grandstand, Deer Course and Park. It was created by the wily and gregarious landowner and MP, John 'Crump' Dutton, in 1634. Guests from Sherborne House would set off on horseback, ride through the sweeping Cotswold countryside and be greeted by this fascinating Lodge with its roaring fires. They would then feast and gamble to their hearts content.
Proudly standing in this picturesque part of the countryside, Lodge Park is England's only surviving deer course and Grandstand. Sensitively restored to its former glory and owned by the National Trust, it reflects wonderfully the theatrical, flamboyant style of its heyday in the 17th century.
Once again, Lodge Park welcomes guests to enjoy its grand and lavish scale. If you are looking for an unusual, exclusive venue for your wedding ceremony, Lodge Park would certainly suit your needs.
