Reception: Can accommodate large numbers for outside reception

The grounds of Mapledurham House are a beautiful setting for a wedding reception. Overlooking the river Thames, this tranquil location is perfect for a marquee setting.

We do not have a licence to perform civil ceremonies, but we can provide the venue for the perfect reception.Clients who hire the venue then can make their choice of catering and marquee company.

Your guests will enjoying strolling on the lawns here - watching the majestic Thames flow past, with the bright array of boats and river crafts.

The watermill here at Mapledurham is the last working watermill on the river Thames - always interesting for guests to wander past as they stroll from the car park to the reception area.

At night, the watermill is floodlit to provide a stunning effect to guide guests back to their cars. The willow tree standing majestically at the entrance gate, with the watermill in the background, is a superb location to have some special wedding photographs taken, or perhaps on the watermill island - another stunning area.
