The Matara Centre is an uplifting oasis of beauty and calm in the unspoiled Cotswold countryside that will capture your heart in an instant.
Set in 28 acres of outstanding natural beauty, it is a place dedicated to the full expression of the human spirit.
When holding your wedding or special celebration at Matara, you will be given exclusive use of the centre and the gardens on the day, without intrusion or restriction.
We are licensed for civil marriages and commitment ceremonies. And after the legal formalities are over, you are free to express yourselves with a ceremony of your own design.
Matara's beautiful glass-domed banquet room can seat up to 150 guests. Several interconnected smaller rooms, each uniquely different, may also be used to create the ideal setting for your celebration. And our cloistered courtyard and parkland offers endless backdrops for beautiful wedding photography.
Our food is lovingly prepared using fresh, local, seasonal ingredients - organic wherever possible. And we cater for many vegetarians, vegans and other diets.

Reception drink, a glass of Sparkling wine for your guests with the option of soft drinks throughout your day.
Traditional 3 course dinner – allocation of £20.00 per person

Hog Roast with Matara’s ice-cream bar
We are pleased to provide ½ a bottle of house red or house white wine per guest for dinner & a glass of sparkling wine for your toasts. Unlimited soft drinks throughout the day will be provided for the children and the non-drinkers! Up until after the dinner service. A cash bar will be provided and staffed after the meal service until midnight.
A one night stay in the Bridal Zen room for the night of your wedding
The front courtyard can be themed, including Fairy lights within the trees and lanterns throughout. As well as back wall lighting in the Hillarium colours of your choice.
