Middle Temple Hall is the perfect central London venue for your wedding, dinner, reception or product launch. With three uniquely individual rooms, a spectacular Elizabethan Hall and an award winning private garden, Middle Temple can provide you with everything you desire to ensure your event is perfect. Just five minutes away from Temple, Blackfriars, Holborn and Chancery Lane stations and situated on the bank of the River Thames, you can maintain an air of privacy and exclusivity that is unique amongst London venues.
You will arrive at the grand main entrance where your guests will be greeted by our welcoming staff on arrival. On entry to the Hall, you cannot fail to be impressed by the history of Middle temple. Completed in 1570, your guests will be transported to the sixteenth century as they dine underneath an exquisite and original double hammer-beam roof or at the six hundred year old High Table, gifted to us by Elizabeth I herself. Perfect for dinners, receptions or performances, your guests can marvel at the glittering stained glass windows as the Hall bathes in natural light or learn about the first ever performance of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night which was performed in the hall in 1502 for Elizabeth I. Hosting dinners for up to 288 guests or receptions for up to 600, licensed for civil ceremonies for 100 and theatre or concert performances for 300, you can rest easy in the knowledge that we will cater for your every need.
You can also enjoy either individually or collectively our three Bench Apartments. On entering the Parliament Chamber, you will be reminded of the ceremonial and esteemed status of the Inn as one of four places where barristers are trained and supported throughout their careers. With original paintings adorning the walls and two huge windows overlooking the gardens, you can dine with up to 70 guests or mingle with 120. The Queen’s Room offers you a more intimate and baroque feel, with two damask chaise longue for your guests to relax in as they gaze out across the River Thames during a reception for up to 80 guests or a grand mahogany table perfect for smaller dinners of 2 to 22 guests. Situated next to each other, they are perfect for your large reception or for your small wedding ceremony and breakfast. The Prince’s Room, tucked away at the end of an oak panelled corridor, offers you a cosy and welcoming space, perfect for your winter wedding photos in front of the real fire, your reception for 80 or for your celebratory dinner for up to 40 guests. With two large bay windows overlooking both the lawns and the stone cobbled Middle Temple Lane, you can unwind on the window seats away from the hustle and bustle.
If you are visiting us in the summer, you are welcome to enjoy our award winning gardens, with three distinct spaces. The pristine lawn is ideal for your summer garden party as you enjoy Champagne in the sunshine. You can sit and relax on the terrace, surrounded by the sweet scent of lavender or you can wander the secluded rose garden with the flowers in full bloom. Each area of the garden is twinned with a room inside, for your wet weather alternative, or you can have a marquee on the lawn to enjoy the landscape despite the weather!
We can also accommodate you for your conferences, meetings or seminars in our modern and well equipped conference room suite. You can hire out rooms individually for a small meeting, deliver a full seminar to 80 guests, or hire out the entire suite of 7 rooms with our day delegate rate packages. Our internal catering service can keep your event hassle-free and satisfy all your needs.
