Pitzhanger Manor-House is a Grade 1 listed building, set in the beautiful surroundings of Walpole Park in Ealing, West London. The Manor's most illustrious owner was the renowned architect Sir John Soane (1753-1837), Architect and Surveyor to the Bank of England. Soane rebuilt most of the house to create a rural villa using highly original ideas in design and decoration.
You and your guests will be seated in the Georgian 'Eating Room' under a barrel-vaulted ceiling decorated with closely studded plaster rosettes.
The Eating Room has an elaborate plasterwork ceiling decorated with classical and floral motifs and painted in shades of blue, green and white. The ceremony is conducted in front of the original marble fireplace. The Eating Room Extension, decorated in the same style and with doors leading directly into Walpole Park, is also available for hire for a Champagne Reception, during which time you are welcome to have photographs taken in the park. There is also a grand piano, which can be hired.
Ealing is easily accessible from the M40/A40 Western Avenue and the M4/A4 Great West Road, is 10 minutes from Paddington Rail Station and is also served by District, Central and Piccadilly Underground Lines.
