Poundon House is a private family home. The house is situated between Bicester and Buckingham overlooking unspoilt countryside. The house, which was built at the turn of the century in the Queen Anne style, was designed by a follower of Lutyens and has a Palladian approach. It provides a very private area to hold events.

We have a civil licence for 2 rooms – the Dining Room can seat 60 persons and if there are more guests then additional guests can be seated on the Terrace and this can cater up to 200 persons. The Terrace Ceremony provides a stunning an unusual setting for your Wedding Ceremony.

There are three Reception rooms and following the Ceremony guests can hold Reception drinks on the before going to the marquee, unique with its Indian hand printed lining, to have the Wedding Breakfast and Dancing. The marquee can cater up to 200 persons for a sit down Wedding Breakfast.

Poundon House is also an ideal venue for small intimate Weddings, and the Dining Room can sit 50 persons. We also have experience of holding Jewish and Indian Weddings.
