Renishaw Hall is the home of the Sitwell family and has been for almost 400 years. Built between 1600 and 1808 it combines stately elegance with historic treasure and is a truly lovely setting for a wedding.

Civil Ceremonies take place in the Red Dining Room added by Sitwell Sitwell in 1793 and built by local architect Joseph Badger. The room is decorated with family portraits, beautiful furniture and incorporates an apse or domed recess with ionic pilasters flanking either side and ceiling motifs of roses and chaplets of smaller flowers.

From the moment you arrive at Renishaw Hall’s grand portico to be greeted by our wedding team, to a celebratory toast of Renishaw’s own sparkling white wine on the terrace of the Italianate gardens, the grandeur and glory of Renishaw will create an unforgettable and unique experience for your special day.

Renishaw Hall hosts only 14 weddings per year ensuring that you will have an exclusive wedding experience.

Wedding receptions are available only in the marquee garden, for which we have a recommended list of caterers and marquee companies for bridal parties to select from.
