Sawrey House Hotel offers you a very special combination of comfort and elegance set admidst the stunning beauty and tranqility of the Lakeland Fells. Located in the heart of the English Lake District, this splendid Victorian Country House nestles in the pretty village of Near Sawrey and looks down over 3 acres of gardens to breathtaking views of Esthwaite Water and grizedale Forest.
Here at Sawrey House, with our secluded setting overlooking Esthwaite Water, we aim to create weddings as bespoke and individual as each couple.
We are lucky enough to take residence in the unspoilt Vale of Esthwaite meaning we can provide something that is away from the ordinary. From the moment you book, our wedding co-ordinator will be on hand to arrange as much or as little as you require, helping to guide you into making this the most cherished day of your life. With locally based and trusted suppliers we can arrange everything from cars to cakes!
With exclusive use of Sawrey House, not only are we able to host your wedding reception, but we are also licensed for civil ceremonies. These can be held in either our lake view restaurant, on the sweeping oak staircase or for the more intimate parties the lounge is also available.
Exclusive Use
Exclusive use means you have use of all the hotel’s 10 bedrooms, sleeping 19 guests, the public areas of the bar, lounge and restaurant, plus the three acres of grounds and gardens to yourself which offers complete flexibility of timings. It also creates a ‘house party’ atmosphere as you’ll have your own country house hotel for the duration of your wedding.
As a rule, if you are booking over a weekend, you will need to take the hotel for a minimum of a two night stay and a three night stay over bank holiday weekends. Occasional one night stays may be available Sunday to Thursday out of season which is from November through to the end of March. Please contact us for further details and rates.
