Scorrier House was built in 1778 by the Williams family and has been occupied by the same family for seven generations. They made their fortune out of mining and is still lived as a private home by Richard and Caroline Williams and their family.
It has light airy rooms and is situated in beautiful historic gardens surrounded by 450 acres of Woodland and parkland guaranteeing total privacy and exclusivity. A racehorse breeding studfarm is also run and the broodmare and their foal can be seen grazing in the park in front of the house. In recent year the house and grounds have been used as a film set
The house is not open to the general public and the only people who will there will be your guests. We never have Weddings two days so the day before is yours to deal with any last minutes preparations. We have an information pack with suppliers we know and recommend but their no commercial ties with any of them so you choose anyone you want. The house does not charge corkage on drinks. We are converting part on the Stables for Wedding Guests accomodation and it should be ready by summer 2007.
