Service: Seven function rooms
Reception: Maximum 120 people (inside), no limit to number of people outside - any size marquee can be accommodated.
The castle is licensed for civil ceremonies, and can cater for parties of up to 120 guests - the choice of rooms being the elegant Panelled Room or the spacious Library. The ground floor reception rooms can cater for the celebrations with smaller groups in the private dining room seating up to 24, the dining room seating 90 or the option of a marquee site adjacent to the library.
Recently refurbished, each bedroom is individually designed on the Theme of a Yorkshire town, dale, castle abbey or garden - including a room in the turret set on three circular floors with a Victorian rain bath, and three other sumptuous suites. All rooms enjoy superb views over the gardens, lake, parkland or gatehouse, with the peace and tranquility of the rural setting.
The hotel offers a wide range of country pursuits including riding, fishing, golf, shooting and mountain biking. Health and beauty treatments are also available, with a spa and fitness area. There is also a Bird of Prey and Aviary Centre situated in the grounds.

Runaway Wedding
If you are getting married in a bit of a whirlwind, this package might be just the ticket. It is available for weddings booked at three months notice or less and held over a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday night.
The package includes the exclusive use of the hotel from 5.30pm until 8.00am the following morning, all thirty bedrooms on a bed and breakfast basis for the night and the use of a function room for the civil ceremony.
Following the ceremony guests enjoy a drinks reception (Sparkling Wine, Pimms or Mulled Wine), followed by the wedding breakfast with wine (half a bottle per guest), and Sparkling Wine for the toast. Place cards, menu cards, a table plan and lilies for the table would be arranged for you, and the evening reception would include a buffet and disco.
All of this, as an inclusive package for 60 guests, costs £11,500.
