The castle is licensed for civil ceremonies, and can cater for
parties of up to 120 guests - the choice of rooms being the elegant Panelled
Room
or the spacious Library. The ground floor reception rooms can cater
for the celebrations with smaller groups in the private dining room
seating up to 24, the dining room seating 90 or the option of a
marquee site adjacent to the library.

Recently refurbished, each bedroom is individually designed on the
Theme of a Yorkshire town, dale, castle abbey or garden - including a room
in
the turret set on three circular floors with a Victorian rain bath,
and three other sumptuous suites. All rooms enjoy superb views over
the gardens, lake, parkland or gatehouse, with the peace and tranquility of
the rural
setting.

The hotel offers a wide range of country pursuits including riding,
fishing, golf, shooting and mountain biking. Health and beauty treatments
are
also available, with a spa and fitness area. There is also a Bird of
Prey and Aviary Centre situated in the grounds.
