Located in the heart of Constable Country on the north Essex/Suffolk border; Le Talbooth is a delightful 16th century timber framed house and enjoys a stunning setting beside the River Stour. With the Milsom family’s 50 years of experience coupled with the stunning location of our properties you can be assured of a perfect wedding and reception.

Several options are available for your reception, a small party in our Weavers Room, a larger gathering in the River Room or a summer wedding in the marquee beside the river - the choice is yours!

Our hotel Maison Talbooth is licensed for civil ceremonies and has ten luxurious suites; the hotel is a founder member of Pride of Britain – a collection of the finest privately owned hotels in Britain and also one of the AA Top 200 hotels in the UK. The hotel is a perfect venue for ‘exclusive use’ house parties where the bridal party can take over the hotel for a night (or two!) and should you require more accommodation we also own milsoms, a contemporary bar/brasserie with 14 stylish en-suite rooms.
