The White Lion Hotel is situated in the middle of Aldeburgh, just opposite the shingle beach lined with traditional fishermen's huts. Our team are highly experienced in weddings and special occasions and will listen to your specific requirements, taking away any concerns or worries you may have about your big day.
The James Cable Room is licensed to hold civil ceremonies. The local registrar is based at Deben Registry Office in Woodbridge and can be contacted on 01394 444331. The cost of hiring the room for your marriage ceremony and wedding breakfast room hire is £500, inclusive of private use of the Bar for the duration of your wedding. The cost of room hire for your ceremony only is £1,000. Create your own personal touch for your wedding by using our Wedding Selection menus to make your own unique combination. All dishes are individually priced allowing you the flexibility to tailor a menu and package that suits your needs and requirements.
Whilst we feel certain that you will find the ideal combination for your wedding reception, our professional team are always happy to discuss your own ideas and help you create the perfect occasion.

We specialise in catering for the smaller Receptions from 12 to 80 guests, however for larger numbers our sister venue at Thorpeness Country Club caters for up to 150 guests. The Wedding Co-ordinator can be contacted there on 01728 452176
