The Inn at Whitewell sits high on the banks of the River Hodder, deep in the beautiful Forest Of Bowland. The 23 bedroom Inn was originally a deer keeper’s cottage in the 14th century and has spectacular and un-spoilt views into one of the most beautiful valleys in Britain. The Inn at Whitwell has a reputation for lovely bedrooms filled with antiques and wonderful fabrics and the most heavenly hand made beds. The Inn is also famed for its food, specialising in local beef and lamb with game in season.
The Inn has hosted wedding parties for hundreds of years and right next door is the charming local church of St Michael’s. After a service in the church guests can wander across to a reception in the spectacular riverside marquee with its own beautiful garden. The Inn also has a license to conduct civil ceremonies in either the Orangery or the dining room. If you would like a brochure or any further details please contact Sharon
