Winchester Cathedral, synonymous with the historic city of Winchester, provides a unique location for your wedding reception. Although we cannot offer a wedding ceremony at the Cathedral, we can provide wonderful, secluded settings for your reception with stunning views of the Cathedral, located in the modern, purpose built Visitors’ Centre and marquees in gardens within the Cathedral Close.

We can offer a variety of venues within the Cathedral Close to suit your individual requirements, from our purpose-built function suite to marquees.

Our dedicated wedding team is trained to ensure that your special day runs efficiently and smoothly, making it a truly memorable occasion for you and your guests. Our Catering Manager will be happy to guide you through the format for your wedding day to ensure that complete attention to detail is given to all aspects.

We can provide a selection of menus tailored to suit your individual requirements, including formal sit down meals, buffets and barbecues, all with a fully licensed bar.

We can offer welcome drinks with canapés on the terrace or lawns and have an extensive wine list to complement your wedding meal. Alternatively you may wish to provide your own wines and champagne and a corkage charge at the current rate would be made.
