Set amongst 92 acres of magnificent formal gardens inspired by the gardens of Versailles, Wrest Park is a striking venue for wedding receptions, corporate functions and evening entertainment. We are also licensed to host Civil Wedding and Civil Partnership ceremonies.
The Wrest Park estate was home to the de Grey family from the 13th Century until 1917. The present Manor House was completed in 1834 and designed by Thomas Earl de Grey, an enthusiast for 18th-century French architecture.
Open spaces and sheltered woodland are complemented by reflective expanses of water and ornate garden buildings, such as the 19th century Orangery, the Bowling Green House and Archer’s Pavilion.
Following extensive refurbishment, Wrest Park House is the latest English Heritage property available to hire from August 2008.

Sought-after wedding venue Wrest Park, near Luton in Bedfordshire is offering a special 30% discount for marquee hire for weddings and celebrations taking place on selected dates in April and May 2012.
Able to accommodate from 300–800 guests, the marquee is set on sweeping lawns beside an 18th-century Orangery, which is licensed for civil wedding and partnership ceremonies. Or couples can choose to exchange vows inside Wrest Park’s lovely French-style mansion, overlooking colourful flower gardens and with views across one of England’s finest historic landscapes.
Famed for its beautiful Baroque buildings, statues and lovely views, Wrest Park also boasts a newly restored Italian Garden and Rose Garden, with walkways leading to expanses of water and woodland – a dream location for wedding photographs.
The special offer is available on marquee hire for receptions from 15.30 until midnight.
Clients may choose their own caterers, but have the services of a professional English Heritage Hospitality Manager and a full list of other suppliers to choose from.
