Recorded in the Doomsday book Knowlton Court was the seat of Bishop Odo of Bayeux, brother of William the Conqueror. The current house is Elizabethan and the front facade is Queen Anne (1715).

Knowlton Court is a magnificent home with great charm and character, privately owned by the Fox-Pitt family.

An enchanting avenue of Lime trees provides a romantic approach to the grand entrance gates and courtyard with its wonderful circular lawn and steps leading to the Great Hall.
